Kronborg Slot
No other building in Denmark is situated as distinguished as the castle Kronborg by the &qout;gate&qout; to the Sound, Oresund. The legend tells that the former Danish national hero Holger Danske sits here slumbering, and if Denmark is threatened by an external enemy, the stone figure will rise in defence of the fatherland.

Frederiksborg Slot
The story of the castle dates back to 1560 when it was acquired by King Frederik II. During the years from 1600 to 1620 the former castle was replaced by a new beautiful Renaissance castle. The towers and the spires of the castle give it an appearance almost like something out of a fairy-tale.

Fredensborg Slot
The summer residence of the Danish Queen Margrethe was established in 1720 by King Frederik IV after the final entering of the peace agreement in "the Northern War". Therefore, the king named hit hunting seat "Fredensborg" (castle of peace).
