Copenhagen is situated only 45 km from the recreational area. The city from the Middle Ages creates an evocative setting for a living cultural life with museums, music, theatre, galleries and amusements. There is plenty of shopping possibilities on Europe's longest pedestrian street, Strøget, as well as in the many cosy narrow streets that are winding through the inner city. Here you will find shops with world-class Danish design, fashion, antique and much more. On squares and open spaces and along the canals the city buzzes with life and atmosphere. Small cosy pubs, modern cafés and international restaurants are located her.

Beaches
Most beaches in North Sealand are sandy beaches with water depths that are suitable for children, kiosks and life-saving stations during the high season. Various beach activities, such as water cycling, beachvolley and windsurfing are popular here. More beaches also have facilities for disabled persons, e.g. slopes that lead to the water, and they are all awarded the blue environment flag 'Det Blå Flag'.

Angling
The area offers good angling possibilities from the shore, from a rented dinghy, in Put & Take-lakes or onboard a cutter on the sea. It is up to you to choose. We sell fishing licences at our sales and service office.

Golf
6 of the absolute best golf courses in Denmark are situated in North Sealand. 4 of these range among Denmark's internationally most famous courses (among others Helsingør, Hillerød, Rungsted Golfbaner and Simons Golf). No less than 8 of the 17 courses host national tournaments, from European championship for amateurs to tournaments for professionals. Nearly all courses in North Sealand are categorised as class or championship courses. Furthermore, North Sealand offers a number of very interesting Pay & Play courses, where everyone can play - irrespective of handicap and experience.

Throughout the recreational area of North Sealand you will find a wide range of restaurants with culinary experiences for every taste. Whether you prefer a plain menu or a substantial culinary experience, you will find it here.

Shopping
North Sealand offer good shopping possibilities. All towns have shops and specialist shops that are open all days of the week during the high season. You will find shopping centres in Helsingør, Hillerød, Helsinge or Frederikssund.
